PORK LEG
Roast pork leg baked with potato and onion named ‘Csulok pekne modra’ is a traditional Hungarian main course especially o!ered in restaurants. Traditionally it was roasted in furnace. You may use salted and smoked pork leg these are better than fresh meat. If you use smoked pork leg no need to add salt to cooking water. So furst wash the leg and place into enough water, add garlic cloves, bay leaves and pepper seeds. Cook it until the pork leg getting so” approx. 120 minutes on medium heat.
POTATO CASSEROLE
Until the pork is cooking, peal the potato, garlic and onion, slice them, salt and put into frying pan. Once the pork leg is so” put on the top of potato onion mix and bake in preheated oven 30-40 minutes on 160 Celsius degree. Serve with hot paprika and pickles.
