
How to roll up apple rose cake?
A delicious apple cake is perfect for any time you want to serve a dessert, easy to prepare, not so expensive and apple available all season.
Apple roses can be used to decorate cake, pies or to be served mini apple tarts. There is many version of apple rose tarts, we offer you apple slices rolled in puff pasrty and baked for cake form, however you can serve each rose separately. This apple cake is perfect for dessert however you may prepare for breakfast as made from puff pastry. You will need frost puff pastry, apricot jam and sugar. Once you choose the apple, choose the red and little sour one. Put the puff pastry on room temperature to become easily rolled out. Method
You start by preparing thin apple slices and laying them in overlapping fashion on strips of puff pastry, then roll them up to create rose‑shaped apple “petals.”
Microwave the apple slices briefly to soften them.
Roll out the pastry and cut it into strips.
Spread a thin layer of jam on each pastry strip.
Arrange the apple slices along the strips, overlapping to form “petals.”
Roll the strips to create rose shapes and place them in a cake pan.
Bake until the pastry is golden and the apples are tender, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
